Returns & Refunds
Q: Can I return my order if I change my mind?
Yes — I offer a 30-day return policy. You’ll have 30 days after your order arrives to request a return.
To be eligible, your item must be unworn/unused, in the same condition you received it, with tags still on, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need your receipt or proof of purchase.
Start your return by emailing me at alison@designbydesign.co. Once your return is approved, I’ll send you a prepaid shipping label and clear instructions on how to send your package back.
Please note: items sent back without requesting a return first won’t be accepted.
Damages & Issues
Q: What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please check your order as soon as it arrives and reach out right away if something is damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong item. I’ll make it right as quickly as possible. 💛
What can’t be returned?
- Custom pieces (like special orders or personalized items)
- Sale items
- Gift cards
If you’re unsure about a specific item, email me before ordering and I’ll clarify.
Exchanges
Q: Can I exchange instead of return?
The quickest way is to return the item you have and place a new order for what you want. Once your return is approved, I’ll process it right away.
For EU Customers
Q: What if I live in the European Union?
If your order ships to the EU, you have a 3-day cooling-off period. This means you can cancel or return your order within 3 days for any reason, as long as the item is in its original, unused condition with tags.
Refunds
Q: How long do refunds take?
Once I’ve received and inspected your return, I’ll let you know if it’s approved. If yes, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days (minus taxes and Shopify fees).
Banks and credit card companies sometimes take a bit longer to process refunds, so allow up to 15 business days. If it’s been longer than that, send me a note at alison@designbydesign.co and I’ll check in.
